Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley
Your marrakech desert tour begins with a morning pickup from your accommodation. We travel across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, stopping for photos of Berber villages clinging to the hillsides. After visiting the legendary Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, we continue through Ouarzazate, known as the “Gate of the Sahara,” and the Valley of the Roses. We spend the first night in a comfortable hotel nestled in the Dades Gorges.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga (New Year’s Eve)
After breakfast, we head to the Tinghir oasis to walk through the spectacular Todra Gorges. The journey continues to Merzouga, where you will meet your camel caravan. Ride your camel into the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes as the sun sets, painting the sand in hues of gold and red.
Tonight, celebrate the New Year at a traditional Berber camp with a festive dinner, campfire music, and an overnight stay under the Saharan sky.
Day 3: Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Wake up early for a quiet sunrise over the dunes before enjoying breakfast at the camp. After a final camel ride back to the village, we begin our return journey. We travel back through the Draa Valley and Ouarzazate, crossing the Atlas Mountains once more to reach Marrakech by evening, where you will be dropped off at your riad.
