2 Days & 1 Night
This 2 Days tour Marrakech to Ait Benhaddou and Ouarzazate is a breathtaking short escape that takes you across the majestic High Atlas Mountains and into the cinematic landscapes of southern Morocco. You will follow the ancient caravan routes that once connected Marrakech with the Sahara Desert, passing through remote Berber villages and rugged mountain cliffs. This journey is the perfect mix of history, culture, and dramatic scenery, featuring the famous “Hollywood of Africa” and ancient fortified ksars.
Your journey begins at 8:00 AM with a pick-up from your Marrakech accommodation. We ascend the High Atlas Mountains via the winding Tizi n’Tichka pass, offering panoramic views of traditional Berber villages nestled in the valleys. After crossing the pass, we take a detour to visit the Telouet Kasbah, an ancestral residence of the Pasha Glaoui. We then continue through the stunning red landscapes of the Ounila Valley to reach the iconic Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou. You will have free time to explore the ancient alleys and take in a beautiful sunset from the top tower before enjoying dinner at your hotel.
After breakfast, we drive to Ouarzazate, where you can explore the Taourirt Kasbah and visit the world-famous Atlas Film Studios to see authentic movie sets. Next, we head to the serene Fint Oasis, a collection of four traditional villages tucked away in the mountains. Here, you can enjoy a Berber tea ceremony in a local home and experience authentic hospitality. After lunch, we begin our return journey across the Atlas Mountains, arriving back in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
