3 Days & 2 Nights
This intimate three-day loop begins in Errachidia, the gateway to Morocco’s eastern desert, and is designed for travelers seeking a seamless blend of comfort, culture, and adventure. The journey transitions from the red-clay architecture of the city into the golden expanse of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Over the course of this 3 Days Tour from Errachidia to Sahara desert, you will trade the hustle of travel for the slow rhythm of camel caravans, stargazing in luxury desert retreats, and deep cultural connections with the nomadic people of the Tafilalet region.
Your guide will meet you at the Errachidia (ERH) Airport or your local accommodation. We drive south through the scenic Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views of the vast palm groves. Depending on your arrival time, you will check into a traditional hotel or riad in Merzouga to rest and prepare for the desert adventure ahead.
After a hearty breakfast, embark on a 4×4 Sahara safari to explore the diverse desert landscape. We visit the old kohl mines, meet nomadic Berber families to learn about their way of life, and enjoy a musical performance in Khamlia. In the afternoon, you will switch to camels for a trek (approx. 1–1.5 hours) into the heart of the dunes. The day concludes with dinner, Berber drumming around a campfire, and a night under a star-filled sky in your luxury tent.
Awaken early for a breathtaking desert sunrise before returning to the village by camel or 4×4. We continue the tour to Rissani, the former capital of Tafilalet, to visit its authentic weekly market (Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday). Next, we stop in Erfoud to see how 350-million-year-old fossils are crafted into decorative treasures. The journey ends with a scenic drive back to Errachidia for your airport drop-off or hotel transfer.
