Your adventure begins early (around 7:00 AM) as you depart Marrakech. After crossing the High Atlas Mountains, you will visit the ancient Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou for a cultural tour and lunch. The drive continues through Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Morocco,” before reaching the borders of the Sahara. Upon arrival in Merzouga, you will mount your camel for a sunset trek into the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes, ending at your desert camp for a traditional Moroccan dinner and music.
Wake up early to witness a breathtaking Sahara sunrise painting the dunes in shades of pink and orange. After a hearty breakfast at camp, you will ride your camel back to Merzouga to begin the return journey. Along the way, you will make scenic stops at the towering Todra Gorge and drive through the lush Draa Valley, the longest river valley in Morocco.. You will arrive back in Marrakech by early evening.
